I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
